Small place that was probably one time a residence but ample parking across the street. Well worth the visit. I suggest it for those who are looking for something that isn't the usual fast food or chain restaurants. ”
“ Small place, but all tables taken within fifteen Or so minutes of being open. Everyone told us to get the fish sandwich that they only serve on Friday. It was OK nothing memorable. Their chicken wings however are ridiculously delicious! The seasoning on them is something I have not had anywhere, and it works great. onion rings are THE BEST. Their hot wing sauce is not spicy at all, so go for the spiciest. Their ranch dressing and blue cheese are both perfection. Their stewed tomatoes on the side are surprisingly memorable and so yummy!!! I'm pretty sure their mac & cheese is Stouffers. They could spend some time cleaning up and definitely get rid of the dirty old curtains. There's a reason why you never see curtains in any big-name restaurants. They hold onto grease and grime and peoples food that accidentally gets sprayed about here and there. They should get rid of the wallpaper borders and other old stuff all over the place and just paint. But That's me. I look around and I see dirt and stuff in things that hasn't been washed in probably a year or two or three...Others might not notice that at all. This was an awesome place for breakfast or lunch. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. Get the potato salad instead of the pasta salad. Loved it ”
“ Tim’s is back! The food tastes exactly as it did 25 years ago, which is a huge compliment. I recommend the Kansas City Steak Salad with house Italian dressing and wings with sauce on the side. This keeps them crispy, and you can add as much sauce as you like. The portions are huge and are reasonably priced. If you are traveling through the Altoona area, skip the chain restaurants and stop by one of Altoona’s best places. Indoor seating is limited, but it keeps the local feel to the place. They do not serve alcohol as the original owner did. Looking forward to future memories as this place brings me back to past ones. ”
“ Don’t let the outside fool you!!! It look’s like a home. But it is a business that is a cafe! The dishes are more than enough to fill you or take some home! The prices are good and they have unsweetened tea! ( Lipton ). I had a steak salad big enough for two! ”
“ First time ever eating here today... Let's start off with talking about the massively sized portions and delicious food! I almost couldn't finish the salad, it was fantastic...so I did. We had a large party, there was very little wait for the food, it was impressive. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We felt no pressure to leave, even though we took up so much space. I will come back here for sure! Don't underestimate this house on corner that that is a cafe. ”
